I have been particularly excited to share the images from my photo shoot with Louise from Still Calm. She is a meditation and mindfulness practitioner and guide based in Beeston, between Loughborough and Nottingham and works across Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire. Louise needed a new headshot and some images for her freshly updated website.
According to Louise, meditation can be a life changer – and a tool that everyone can access in various situations. She teaches people about mindfulness and relaxation techniques to use for their personal lives at home and in the workplace – and she also shares some useful mindfulness techniques on her blog.
Louise left the creative direction of the photoshoot. So, I decided to take her for a walk. I was lucky that Louise was really up for anything, becauser meeting at the Lower Car Park at Beacon Hill and ascending to the top turned out to be quite a hike on a hot June evening. However, we both agreed it was totally worth it. Beacon Hill offers a variety of natural backdrops and stunning views. While it was an overcast day, the clouds parted just a little to let through some gorgeous, warm light.
Most of my personal branding photo shoots involve some sort of props or a task – that could be a laptop, books or a cup of coffee – or anything else that the client might use for work. With Louise’s line of work, we obviously did not have much in terms of such props or things to occupy her with. However, even with just the two of us and my camera we were not in want of variety, thanks to the gorgeous backdrop of the Leicestershire landscape. Plus Louise was such a natural in front of the camera anyway - and all around fantastic evening and I can't wait to see the images on the Still Calm website.
