The day before my session with Daiana, Billy and their almost-three-year-old Ulysses in December it started snowing and never stopped. We had initially planned to drive out to Bradgate Trees for a seasonally themed photoshoot, similar to my couple session with Chris and Alex. We decided, however, to not risk our necks and met in the Queen’s Park near Loughborough’s city centre instead. It was surprisingly empty – the cold must have kept people at home. Luckily for me, these three are tough cookies and braved the temperatures despite being from Brazil originally!
I know Billy from Loughborough University, where we have both been doing our PhD research. Billy has in fact just finished and relocated his family back to their native Brazil before Christmas, just a week after the photoshoot.
The snow may have forced us to relocate but it turned out to be a blessing. What more fun could there be than forming snowballs and dropping them in the little stream that flows through the Queen’s Park, right?
Little Uly was of course the star of the show. All that being-the-centre-of-attention can be quite tiring though!
